Hope Valley

The traditional brick exterior of this Hope Valley Georgian belies the riot of color and liveliness within its walls. Our energetic and game-for-anything clients purchased the property with baby number four on the way, and began a several years long renovation. We were fortunate to be brought on at the onset of the project to weigh in on architectural design, manage the selections process, and develop a family friendly design concept true to their exuberant style, but elevated enough to stand up to the home’s classic architecture.

Some of our favorite custom additions to the kitchen include the vent hood salvaged from a NC mill and retrofit to compliment the cobalt blue range, and the double basin soapstone sink anchoring the island which is as functional for a family of six as it is beautiful! In the living room, blue prints from the home’s original architect, George Watts Carr, have place of pride.

Client Testimonial

Two words… HIRE LINDSAY! We had the pleasure of working with Lindsay on a comprehensive whole home renovation and remodel. I was lucky enough to find her at the start of the 12+ month project and she was an invaluable add as we navigated the ins and out of both the functionality of the renovation as well as the feel of the new space. Her insights and ability to listen were essential to the projects success.

She respected our vision and budget throughout the entire process and brought options to the table that showed that she not only heard us, but understood what we wanted. She was understanding, kind, personable and patient but also incredibly professional, organized and transparent. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without her and I can’t recommend her enough!
