When our long-time clients announced they had purchased a new home designed by DixonKirby, we knew the architectural envelope would be distinctive and looked forward to the opportunity to design interiors to match. We began by solidifying the home’s lighting plan and selected fixtures crafted as locally as Charleston, SC (the kitchen island pendants) and as far flung as Italy (a beautiful peacock blue Murano glass pendant for the office, not photographed.)

While strong and sculptural was the name of the game for the lighting, we struck a softer chord with the furnishings. The home is awash in natural light, and shades of taupe, beige, ivory, and blue were used to create a serene atmosphere that provides our clients with a soft place to land and respite from their demanding professional lives.

In addition to custom furnishings and window treatments, we sourced several beautiful antique rugs and a collection of original artwork to grace their walls - one of which shares equal pride of place in their primary bedroom with framed artwork created by their children.

Client Testimonial

We have been working together with Lindsay for over 8 years and cannot sing our praises loudly enough!  She helped to make our first home in Raleigh feel cozy and zen.  In actuality, she helped my husband and I figure out WHAT our aesthetic is, since neither of us know much about design.  Then, when we decided to build a home, Lindsay was there every step of the way to help create our dream spaces.  She is easily the most detail-oriented, organized, responsible, trustworthy creative person we know and we trust her implicitly with her design choices.  A true pleasure to work with, she is a gem in the design community!
